Pricing questions
What's the difference between Free and Team if I can use the dashboard on both?
Both tiers can view dashboard.agentcollision.com. The differences:
- Free: one machine, one user. Your agents coordinate on that machine via local A2A messaging (which never leaves your laptop). Dashboard refreshes every 60s.
- Team: multiple machines per user (laptop + desktop), unlimited team members. Your agent can send A2A messages to your teammate's agent, cross-machine. Dashboard refreshes in real-time via SSE.
If you're solo and on one machine, Free is the right tier. The moment you add a 2nd machine or invite a teammate, you'll want Team.
Does same-machine A2A messaging use the cloud?
No. When two agents on the same laptop send A2A messages to each other, the message stays on your machine — written to the local daemon's SQLite store and read by the recipient agent locally. No cloud round trip, no latency tax, no cloud cost. That's why Free can offer unlimited same-machine A2A forever.
Cross-machine A2A (your laptop's agent talking to your desktop's agent) does traverse the cloud coordinator. That's a Team feature.
Is there a free trial for Team or Enterprise?
Yes. Sign up for a team and you'll get 14 days of full access with no credit card required. After the trial, pick a plan or stay on Free forever.
What counts as a "user"? And what's an "active machine"?
A user is a person — one email, one Supabase account, one dashboard login. Alice is one user whether she works from her laptop or her desktop or both.
An active machine is a daemon currently coordinating. Each user on Team can have 2 active machines at a time. You can install the daemon on as many computers as you want; only 2 will actively push leases to the coordinator. When you switch between them, the idle one auto-pauses and the one in front of you picks up — usually invisibly. If you try to run 3 daemons simultaneously, the third bumps the oldest and it pauses for 2 minutes.
Enterprise customers get 5 active machines per user for CI + heavy multi-machine setups.
How do seats work?
You buy seats upfront. At checkout you pick a quantity (e.g. 25 seats at $8/user/mo on Team) and Stripe charges for that many. You can then invite up to 25 teammates. Removing a teammate frees their seat — you can re-invite without buying more. To grow past your purchased count, click Buy more seats in Settings → Billing; Stripe charges prorated for the rest of the period and you can invite up to the new total.
No surprise charges. We never auto-add seats when you invite someone — if you're at your cap, the invite is held until you confirm the seat purchase.
Is there a user cap on Team?
You can buy as many seats as you need, no upper bound (Enterprise is for the features — SSO, SLA, more active machines per user, governance + audit). For 25+ seats, contact us for volume pricing and invoicing.
Can I switch plans or change seat count later?
Yes. Tier changes (Team ↔ Enterprise) and seat-count changes both happen from Settings → Billing. Tier upgrades and seat additions are prorated. Tier downgrades and seat removals apply at the next billing period.
Do you offer student discounts?
The Free tier is plenty for students and personal projects. If you need team features for a class or open project, email us and we'll work something out.
Can I self-host the coordinator?
Self-hosting is available to Enterprise customers. Contact us to discuss your deployment requirements — we'll provide a commercial license + setup support.
What payment methods do you accept?
Credit/debit cards via Stripe. Enterprise customers can pay by invoice (NET 30) on annual plans.
